Rehab and Training for Your Best Health
The Center for Better Aging’s evidence-based program improves whole-person well-being, with an emphasis on avoiding and recovering from falls and loss of strength, or difficulties in the course of daily life. CBA’s functional fitness program, wellness checks, and community events keep you active, living independently, and enjoying life.
Fall Prevention and Fitness
CBA partners with Smyl Fitness Rx to ensure older adults can access a tech-enabled fall prevention and fitness platform. Automated assessments and personalized analytics enable care teams to predict risk, visualize trends, and optimize care to address falls, ER visits, and other health setbacks. Community-based programming and digital tools reduce falls and improve physical activity. CBA’s mission is to help older adults enjoy better health, longer life, and more independent days at home.
Physical Therapy
On-campus therapies combine exercise, heat and cold, electricity and muscle and joint movement for strength and range of motion. Equipment includes treadmill, Pilates reformer, NuStep cross-trainer, and natural-resistance water rower.
Vision
The on-site eye clinic has a board-certified ophthalmologist with nearly 20 years of experience. Early detection and regular eye exams can head off vision issues from diabetes, high blood pressure, a history of stroke or sickle cell disease.
Hearing
Hearing loss affects 1 in 3 older adults and can lead to speech problems if not treated. Hearing aids can improve communication with family and friends, even in noisy environments.
Breast Health Screening
A women’s health suite on campus includes state-of-the art digital mammography and a relaxation suite to reduce the pain and anxiety of an exam.
Dietitian
The right nutrition can help people over 50 feel better and reduce their risk of chronic disease. CBA’s dietitian can suggest a diet to keep a healthy weight and maintain strength.
